Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 30 May 2026
Melo subscriptions are sold and billed through Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle is the seller of record, so it handles the payment, tax and the refund transaction itself. This policy sets out when you are eligible for a refund; once a refund is approved, Paddle processes it. Paddle's own buyer terms also apply on top of this policy.
Cancelling
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from the billing page in your account. When you cancel, you keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period, after which your account moves to the Free plan. We do not delete your projects or translation memory when you downgrade, but Free-plan limits will apply.
Refunds
Because the Service is available immediately, subscription fees are generally non-refundable for periods already started, except where required by law or at our discretion. If you were charged in error or experienced a serious problem we could not resolve, contact us and we'll review your case fairly.
EU/UK right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Because Pro gives you immediate access to a digital service, by subscribing you ask us to start it right away and acknowledge that you lose this 14-day right of withdrawal once the service has begun. This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights you have under local law.
How to request a refund
Email support@joinmelo.com with the email address on your account and your Paddle order/receipt reference. Once approved, the refund is processed by Paddle to your original payment method. You can also contact Paddle directly using the receipt they emailed you at purchase.
